This 15th century
converted Mill cottages offers luxury
accommodation with an AA Rosette award
winning restaurant. Guests are invited to share the ambience of this special old house and garden
with it's beamed ceilings, open fire places and nooks and crannies.
We are situated in
West Devon in the heart of the
Westcountry on the edge of Dartmoor in the valley close to where the rivers Lyd and Thrushel meet, just a mile from the Devon/Cornwall
border, in the area known as "The land of rivers and moors".
Tinhay Mill lies between 3 historic
market towns, Okehampton, Tavistock
(with Buckland Abbey, Sir Francis
Drake's birthplace) and across the River
Tamar into Cornwall, Launceston (a
quaint little town with its museum and
Norman castle.
A 30 minute drive
will take you to the North Cornish
coast, to Port Isaac (Doc Martin
country), Boscastle and the famous King
Arthur's ruins at Tintagel. We are also
within reach of The Eden Project,
Heligan Gardens, Plymouth, Exeter and more of our
stunning coastline and rugged moors.
